Katherine Pacchiana is a graduate of Hobart & William Smith Colleges and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She also studied photography at the International Center of Photography. She recently exhibited photos from a 2000-mile trip along historic Route 66. 

She divides her time between Brooklyn and North Salem, where she rides dressage on a handsome black stallion named Night Music. Before working for Patch she lived in Rome for three years, where she perfected her Italian by working as a bi-lingual tour guide and, most importantly, learned to cook from an Italian "nonna."
