Police: Southeast Woman Drives Drunk on Local Roads

A 28-year-old Southeast woman is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop in town, according to police.

State troopers from the Southeast barracks made the arrest at about 2:35 a.m. Sunday, near the intersection of Route 22 and Sodom Road. She was pulled over for failing to maintain the lane of travel, officials said.

The defendant's blood-alcohol level was allegedly 0.12-percent. The legal limit is 0.08. Authorities released her pending a Jan. 14 appearance in Southeast Justice Court.
