Croton Falls Bridge Closures; Town Pool

1) Croton Falls Road Bridge will be closed to eastbound traffic starting on Wednesday, Aug. 14 and pedestrian bridge to be removed on Sunday, Aug. 18 which will result in a full closure of the bridge. 

Traffic will be detoured around by flaggers and police on Aug. 18 only. Pedestrians can use taxis hired by the contractor for the day. VMS signs (electronic traffic signs) were placed on Monday, Aug. 5 to inform vehicular traffic and also traffic advisories will be issued through the Traffic Division.

2) The Southeast Town Board will meet tonight at 7 for a work session followed by regular business. Agenda items include the recreation advisory board/town pool, scheduling of a historic districts public hearing and overnight parking for commercial vehicles.

3) Thursday's weather will likely include showers and/or thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies and a high around 80 degrees.
