Meet Jade and Her 8 Puppies

Her adoption fee is $150, and her babies are $250 each.

After a long trip from a shelter in South Carolina—where they were slated to be euthanized—2-year-old Jade and her puppies are ready to be adopted.

Staff members at the Putnam Humane Society say the mother gave birth two months ago, and that all of the puppies are super sweet. There are six males and two females.

The dogs do not have to stay together. Jade, who is 25 pounds and looks to be a terrier mix, is a bit of a fearful girl. She would do best in a quiet home without children.

Jade's adoption fee is $150, and her babies are $250 each. They are each named after a different gemstone, and the staff believes they will grow to be about the same size as their mother.

While Jade, her babies the other animals — there are roughly 100 of them — all need forever homes, the society can always use donations (especially old newspapers!).
