Ragamuffin Parade Set for Oct. 27

Halloween may come twice for some.

Barring any unforeseen weather—like the freak snowstorm that ruined last year's event—local youngsters decked out in costume will take to Main Street later this month for the annual Ragamuffin Parade.

Hosted by the First Baptist Church, the Oct. 27 event is set to run from 10 a.m. to noon. During that time the children will show off their ensembles as they walk from Markel Park to the Brewster Public Library, organizers told Village of Brewster officials at a meeting Wednesday night. The Board of Trustees approved the event.

The rain date is Oct. 28, same time.
