Reminder: I-84 to Close 2 Weekends This Month

A portion of Interstate 84 at the Connecticut-New York state line will close for two weekends this month while two bridges are being replaced.

The roadway will be closed Sept. 21 and Sept. 22 for eastbound lanes and Sept. 28 and Sept. 29 for westbound lanes, according to information posted on the Town of Southeast website.

"This construction work will have a significant impact on the local area of Southeast all the way to the Connecticut State Line, as traffic is going to be detoured off of I-84," the document on the town's site reads. "There is also the potential for back-ups to occur on Route 84 throughout the county, and into Dutchess, as well as into Connecticut when the westbound side is complete."
