As part of his ongoing efforts to help the community recovery from Superstorm Sandy,Assemblyman Steve Katz (R,C,I-Yorktown) is announcing that energy provider NYSEG is providing $2 million in new funding to assist residents and employers who suffered damage from the storm. Applications will be accepted at a public meeting held by NYSEG TOMORROW, Wednesday, June 19, at the Putnam County Training and Operations Center.
"As our community continues to recover and regroup following Superstorm Sandy, it is important that residents and employers are aware of every possible avenue for assistance," Katz said. "These funds will be available at a first-come, first-served basis, so I encourage everyone to attend this important meeting and not hesitate to apply."

A total of $2 million is available to assist eligible businesses, municipalities, large residential establishments, agri-businesses and farms affected by the super storm, as well as customers who are still recovering from the storm.

NYSEG representatives will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Putnam County Training and Operations Center to answer any questions TOMORROW, Wednesday, June 19. The Putnam County Training and Operations Center is located at 112 Old Route 6 in Carmel.
