Maloney Statement on Legionnaires Disease Contracted at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System

Newburgh, NY - Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney released the below statement following news that a patient sickened from Legionnaires Disease at the Hudson Valley Health Care System facility in Castle Point has died of the disease:

"As a son of a Navy veteran, I am deeply saddened and outraged by this terrible and preventable tragedy. The Hudson Valley is home to tens of thousands of veterans who fought for our freedoms, and they deserve the very best care our country has to offer. We must investigate how this occurred and take immediate steps to ensure veterans and their families have safe facilities and quality health care.”
