Two years ago this month, life changed for the Campbell family.
That's when Cindy and Lou, who have lived in Pawling for about the last year and a half, learned the reason for their oldest son's sleep troubles. Doctors diagnosed Ty Louis Campbell, then almost 3, with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer—one that looked nearly impossible to beat.
Since then, it's been nothing but ups and downs for Ty, who will be 5 in October. Most recent scans show that he is cancer-free and stable, but his latest struggle is regaining movement, which he lost because of the long-term affects of radiation, in his limbs and neck.
The Campbells, , are dedicated to spreading the word about Ty's improvements. , where you can find a video recapping her son's last two years.
