Meet Ellie, a Curious Girl

Her adoption fee is $100.

Not everyone has free rein at the Putnam Humane Society (PHS) like Ellie the cat.

The 2-and-a-half year old girl was left outside the shelter gates about a year ago. Since then she has delighted staff members with her independent, curious personality.

Ellie, who has a black coat and a big, fluffy tail, is good with other cats and OK with dogs. She would do best in a home where the children are 10 or older because she can be very playful.

At about 9 pounds, Ellie's health is good. Her adoption fee is $100.

While all the animals — there are roughly 100 of them — need forever homes, the society can always use donations (especially old newspapers!). Check out the shelter's site to learn more about needed items, stop in and visit, or check out the other animals we've featured (in chronological order):

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.
