Oct. 23: County Public Hearing, Middle School Dedication

Here are five items to keep in mind throughout the day.

1. Southeast Justice Court is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at the civic center on Route 22.

2. Brewster Central School District is hosting two events tonight. The first is a dedication ceremony for the renovations at Wells Middle School, and the second is a Board of Education meeting. Visit the district website for more details, including an agenda and times.

3. Two public hearings—focusing on amending a local law to require that transfers of more than $25,000 also be reviewed by the Audit & Administration Committee of the Legislature—are slated for 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. today. 4. It's Tech Tuesday at the Brewster Public Library. Stop by between 1 and 3 p.m. and talk to a specialist who will help you learn PC skills, create an e-mail account and maneuver around the Internet. Bring your computer or use one of the library's.

5. The National Weather Service is calling for rain and a high of 64 degrees in Brewster today.
