Senator Greg Ball (R, C, I – Patterson) Chairman of the Senate Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee and the Military Order Of The Purple Heart, Chapter 21 have announced that spots are still open for the 3rd Annual Veterans’ Thanksgiving Dinner.
Over the past two years, Senator Greg Ball has worked with the community to host an annual Thanksgiving Dinner for local veterans. Last year hundreds of veterans’ attended the free dinner hosted at Putnam County Golf Club.
This year, the dinner will be hosted on Saturday, November 23, 2013 with seating at 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm at the Putnam County Golf Course, located at 187 Hill Street, Mahopac, NY 10541. All local veterans are invited and may bring one additional guest.

In addition to urging more veterans to attend, Senator Ball’s office is also still accepting volunteers and donations for the dinner.
“Every year I look forward to this wonderful event. It is one of the many ways we say ‘thank you’ to those veterans that have so bravely served our Nation. We still have some spots available at all three seating’s. I urge veterans to contact my office to RSVP as soon as possible, because seating is limited and we fill up every year,” said Senator Greg Ball. “This wonderful event couldn’t be possible without the help of local scouts, school groups, sports teams and hundreds of volunteers that turn out each year. We are still seeking volunteers for our ‘Honor Corps Welcome Team’ to welcome the veterans with a standing ovation as they enter the room. To see the smile on the veterans’ faces as they walk into the room, makes the dinner worth it every year.”
