Robert L. Waltenberg, of Brewster, died unexpectedly on Wednesday in Carmel, at the age of 68.
Waltenberg was born June 24, 1943, in the Bronx, son of the late Robert and Phyllis (Martin) Waltenberg. His family moved to their summer home in Peach Lake.

Waltenberg served with the Air Force from 1960 to 1964. He moved to Brewster and married Elizabeth Hill on July 16, 1966 in Brewster. Mr. Waltenberg was a bus driver for the for 27 years and was an associate member of the .
Besides his wife Libby, he is survived by a son, Bobby Waltenberg of Westtown; a daughter, Pam Waltenberg of LaGrange; a sister, Dorrie Santorelli of Stoney Creek; and three grandchildren: Brianna, Kyle and Sydney.

Friends may call at the Beecher Funeral Home (1 Putnam Avenue in Brewster) between 4 and 7 p.m. on Saturday. Internment will be private.
