Services are July 17 for Enar Friberg

Enar H. Friberg, age 85, of Brewster, NY, died on Thursday, July 10, 2014 in Brookfield, CT.

Mr. Friberg was born in Dobbs Ferry, NY on August 5, 1928 son to the late Henning and Gerda (Forsberg) Friberg. Enar served in the US Army during WWII.

Enar married Carmela F. DeLucia on October 16, 1976 in Scarsdale, NY. Carmela predeceased her husband on May 18, 2014 after 37 years of marriage.

Mr. Friberg was an operating engineer for the local #137 in Briarcliff Manor, NY for many years before retiring.

Mr. Friberg was a 45 year resident of Brewster having lived in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY prior. Mr. Friberg was a member of the American Legion-Post #71 in Brewster, NY.

Mr. Friberg is survived by his two children Enar Jr. and Sonia, his two grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by two sons Roy and Carl Friberg.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 17, 2014, 11am at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY. Interment will follow at Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster, NY.
