Mahopac Woman Charged in $1,000 Grocery Store Theft

State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 42-year-old Mahopac woman is facing a felony charge of fourth-degree larceny in connection with a Thanksgiving Day theft at the Stop and Shop in Somers, police say.

Troopers from the Somers barracks arrested Abrina J. McMorrow at about 1:35 p.m. Thursday. She is accused of stealing about $1,038 worth of merchandise.

The security team at the Route 6 store reported the theft to police, officials told Patch.

McMorrow was released pending a Dec. 5 appearance in Somers Justice Court.
