State troopers arrested a 29-year-old Patterson man on a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated following a recent crash in Putnam Lake.
The accident occurred at about 6 p.m. Sunday on Hudson Drive. The 2005 Ford Mustang the defendant was driving struck the railing in front of one residence and damaged the adjacent home.
The driver was transported to Danbury Hospital in Connecticut for non-life-threatening injuries. Police are awaiting blood tests to determine a blood-alcohol level.
In addition to the misdemeanor, the defendant is facing two infractions: imprudent speed and moving from a lane unsafely. He is due Sept. 24 in Patterson Justice Court.
