[10:10 a.m. version, updated from original 7:30 a.m. post]
State police at the Southeast barracks are reporting minor injuries in a rollover tractor-trailer accident that involved a mini school bus Thursday morning.

Members of the Brewster Fire Department, state troopers and other officials responded to a 6:45 a.m. report of a truck versus a school bus at Route 22 and Doansburg Road.

The bus was transporting four students to St. James the Apostle elementary school in Carmel, according to officials at the Brewster Central School District. It was crossing Route 22 when it was struck by a tractor-trailer.

"All four students and the school bus driver were transported to Danbury Hospital (CT) for evaluation," the district said in a statement. "No serious injuries were reported. School officials responded to the accident scene and were present at the hospital. A thorough investigation of the incident is being conducted."

Route 22 will be closed for approximately three hours while police investigate and first-responders clear the roadway, authorities said at about 7 a.m.
