Stolen Shot Glass Leads to Warrant Arrest

The Carmel Police Department provided the following information. it does not indicate a conviction.

A man who was wanted on two active warrants is facing a host of charges following a recent incident in Carmel.

Carmel Police sgt. Michael Nagle and officer Douglas Romeo arrested Eastchester resident Adam Serrecchia, 37, after they responded to a report of a stolen shot glass at a Route 6 establishment. The complainant allegedly took the item from behind the bar.

"Investigation revealed that the suspect ... had two active arrest warrants issued by the and White Plains Police Department," Carmel Police Chief Mike Johnson said.

Authorities charged Serrecchia with a violation, as well as the following misdemeanors: fifth-degree possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

After he was proceesed at Carmel Police headquarters, he was sent to the Sheriff's Office on the warrant. He is due in Carmel Justice Court Oct. 15.
