A 25-year-old Queens man is facing a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated after state troopers stopped him for speeding—100 mph in a 65-mph zone—on Interstate 684 in North Salem, according to authorities.

Police from the Somers barracks made the arrest at about 6:20 a.m. Sunday. Officials say the driver's blood-alcohol level was 0.09 percent. The legal limit is 0.08.

Troopers released the driver pending an Oct. 21 appearance in North Salem Justice Court.
