Troopers: Patterson Man Involved in Hit-and-Run with Brewster School Bus

State Police provided the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police say a 43-year-old Patterson man kept on driving after he side-swiped a school bus that was traveling in the opposite direction on Route 22, near Lakeview Plaza, in Southeast Wednesday.

"Witnesses were able to obtain a registration which led to the operator ... being located at his residence," officials at the  Southeast barracks of the New York State Police said. "Damage to his vehicle matched the damage to the bus."

Police did not note any injuries. The incident occurred at about 3 p.m. Wednesday. Nine children, ages 14 to 16, were riding on the Brewster Schools bus, which was headed south.
