For the Putnam Cycling Classic, riders can choose between a 100-mile or 60-mile race. The 100-mile ride offers the experienced rider an opportunity to push themselves and be competitive in the two timed elements on the course.

The course will include some great climbing as well as beautiful scenery. This is a must-ride event in your annual calendar.

The 60-mile race is fantastic for intermediate level riders who want to continue to ride longer and further and challenge themselves with a few timed elements in the mix. You can ride at a comfortable pace, with friends or training partners, yet experience the atmosphere, look and feel of a more advanced ride.

The Tour de Putnam is a family fun ride that includes a 12 and 24-mile rides. The whole family will get to observe the beautiful scenery of the Hudson Valley, and the rides will introduce children to cycling and encourage a fun fit lifestyle. The courses are safe and will offer young people the opportunity to ride in a larger event environment.

The rides are right around Mother’s Day, so choose one of the Mother’s Day family packages and save big!

“Putnam County’s scenic grandeur is second to none in New York State and what better way to showcase our extraordinary topography than by having this event be open to beginner, intermediate and expert cyclists from both within and outside our County, all participating in either the re-tooled Tour de Putnam or our now-traditional Putnam Cycling Classic. Our four routes will encompass every town in our County, making this a truly comprehensive and beautiful event,” said Libby Pataki, director of Putnam County Tourism.

After the rides, everyone will be able to enjoy the Putnam Pasta Picnic. The event is a fun community celebration that will include entertainment for adults and children, and a pasta dinner. The Putnam Pasta Dinner will be the best way to fuel up after a hard ride. The pasta picnic is open to both riders and non riders; come one come all.

Sponsorships are available. All donations are happily accepted! For more information please contact:
