Town to Review Comprehensive Plan

The updated document will touch on everything from natural resources to traffic and transportation to 'community character' in Southeast.

Southeast officials have created a committee assigned with reviewing and updating the town's comprehensive plan, which focuses on community development, by the end of the year.

The current document was adopted in June 2002. Panel members will first examine whether the objectives outlined in that plan have been met. They will then identify "new goals and strategies."

"The committee will have the aid of consultants, residents, property owners and business interests in completing their work," reads this notice from Southeast officials.

The panel is made up of members of the town board, the planning board, the zoning board of appeals and the architectural review board. A Village of Brewster trustee will also join, as will someone from the Brewster Chamber of Commerce.

Visit the town's website for more information, including cost factors.
