4 Hours In Heels and Santa on the Farm...

Sunday, December 8th....was probably the best Sunday at Brook Farm Veterinary Center for the entire year! As you may know, I work at Brook Farm in Patterson and we celebrated the holiday with our fifth annual Pet Photos with Santa ! This year there was a twist to the event and we actually conducted a fundraiser to raise funds for our Farm Fund. The Farm Fund is the Hudson Valley's only Veterinarian sponsored charity to help our clients who cannot afford emergency care for their pets!

Everyone enjoyed an afternoon with their neighbors, making new friends and enjoying the locally donated food and drink (and of course the free pet photos with Santa!) As I met with everyone in line, I even tried to start a dance party. It didn't work. Overall, we had a great time.

I'm happy to say that after 4 hours in heels and an elf costume (see stylish Jamaican girl pictured!) , happy hellos to over 100 people, months of planning and lots of stress, our team raised over $800.00 for our much needed financial reserves to help animals in need! Dunkin’ Donuts of Patterson, Sauro’s Deli, and Brewster Pastry hooked us up with some great donations too (I just had to give them public accolades).
