Bears Update: Field Hockey, Football, Soccer, Volleyball

Since the start of the fall 2012 season for the Brewster Bears, Patch has received a number of updates from coaches, parents and more.

Here are the details:

Field Hockey

From Coach Theresa Pellecchia:

Sept. 19; Our Lady of Lourdes at Brewster
Brewster loss 1-2
Junior Nicole Palumbo scored goal for Brewster, with assist by junior Kait Donohue


Sept. 20; Brewster at Yorktown
Brewster loss 2-4
Junior Payton Montague scored goal for Brewster
Senior Jen Vigliotti scored goal, with junior Payton Montague to assist

Football

The undefeated team took a big win, 26-0, at Port Chester Saturday. The game before that the Bears beat Nyack, 27-24, in double overtime. They opened the season at home against Horace Greeley, with a final score of 26-24.

Soccer (boys)

The squad lost to Mahopac, 2-0, Friday. The boys are slated to take on John Jay East Fishkill during an away game Thursday.

Volleyball

The girls will face off against Lakeland at home on Friday.

Um...Since I live in Southeast, I can't vote for Mayor of the Village of Brewster. So why do youRead More think I, a taxpayer of Southeast, paid for this destruction when I really don't have a clue to what happens in the Village? There's a disconnect that needs to addressed.

Great topics. I really like Mr Jacobs point of view on education. Also "A recipe for aRead More meaningful education." Always looking for more ideas on this topic. After all it is your child education-why not let then be involved in decisions. Look forward to April 12th. Thank you to Longview for offering this great event.
