Meet Bosco, a Sweet Boy

Bosco the beagle is in need of a home, and shelter staff members say he gets along with just about everyone.

At about 5 or 6 years old, Bosco is a very friendly, sweet dog. His tail wags endlessly as he whines with excitement when a new friend approaches his pen. 

Folks at the Putnam Humane Society say Bosco is in good health. He weighs about 30 pounds. He's called the shelter home since February, when he came in as a stray.

While he gets along with children, cats and other dogs, Bosco would do well in a quiet home. Staff members said he is nervous, and still lacks a bit of confidence when it comes to getting to know people.

Bosco's adoption fee is $150. He and the other animals — there are roughly 100 of them — all need forever homes, the society can always use donations (especially old newspapers!).
