Service Set for Mother Whose Son Shot Himself in Southeast

Sheila Graham, the mother of the 13-year-old Brewster student who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in January, was found dead earlier this month in her California apartment.

“She talked about suicide every day since Mikey died," Sheila Graham's sister said. She reportedly took her own life.

Visiting hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Beecher Funeral Home, and a service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Carmel, according to arrangements listed here.

Michael Graham was in eighth grade at Henry H. Wells Middle School. He played football, lacrosse and basketball for Brewster. His father found him upon returning home from a trip to the grocery store.
